ROCKY KNOB MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK

Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park is a 185 acre park located in Boone, NC.  The park was started in 2009 with two grants from the Bikes Belong Foundation and Specialized Bicycles. Trails were built with a combination of professional trail builders like Terra Tek Trials along with hundreds of hours of volunteer work from the local riding community. The park includes over 8 miles of trail including a pumptrack, skills areas, playground, restrooms and a picnic area.

In the summer of 2015 Terra Tek was hired to rebuild the PBJ trail (pumps, berms, and jumps).  The objective was to give the trail a full makeover which would include rebuilding all of the turns to make them better to ride and building more features to more than double the amount of jumps and rollers on the trail.
