BEECH MOUNTAIN

Beech Mountain Resort, the highest resort on the east coast, is the only lift-accessed bike park in South.  It has trails ranging from beginner to pro and was host to the USA Cycling National Championships in 2011 and 2012 and the USA Collegiate MTB Nationals in 2013 and 2014.  In 2014, we built a brand new intermediate trail called Heartbreaker that weaves through huge boulders and rock slabs and features big berms, some jumps and natural rock features.  Neither a “flow trail” nor a downhill track, its unique feel is dictated mostly by the extreme terrain for which it was built through.  Sections of machine built trail often funnel down into narrow hand-built sections and back again.
